The MQ-136 Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) Gas Sensor Module is designed to detect and monitor the concentration of hydrogen sulfide gas in the air. This module provides both analog and digital outputs, making it easy to interface with popular development platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
The MQ-136 sensor uses tin dioxide (SnO₂) as its sensitive material. In clean air, the sensor has relatively low conductivity. When hydrogen sulfide gas is present, the sensor conductivity increases as the concentration of H₂S rises. This change in conductivity is converted into an electrical output signal that can be used to estimate the gas concentration.With its high sensitivity to hydrogen sulfide gas and low sensitivity to other combustible gases, the MQ-136 is suitable for a wide range of gas detection, monitoring, and electronics projects.
