The MQ-8 Hydrogen Gas Sensor Module is a highly sensitive and cost-effective gas detection module designed to detect hydrogen (H₂) gas concentrations in the air. It is suitable for hydrogen leak detection, gas monitoring systems, safety equipment, industrial automation, and DIY electronics projects.

The MQ-8 sensor uses a SnO₂ (tin dioxide) sensitive material whose conductivity changes when hydrogen gas is present. As the concentration of hydrogen increases, the sensor’s conductivity also increases. This change can be converted into an electrical output signal using a simple external circuit, allowing the gas concentration to be monitored.
